1. Who you are dealing with

KasiRooms ("Kasirooms", "we", "us") operates the KasiRooms website and app, a marketplace where South African landlords list backrooms, bachelor flats and houses, tenants find places to stay, transport drivers offer moving services, and local businesses advertise. When you use KasiRooms you are entering into an agreement with Kasirooms.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or continuing to use KasiRooms you agree to these terms. If you are using KasiRooms on behalf of a business, you confirm you may bind that business. If you are using it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to enter a contract.

3. Your account

You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done under your account. Landlords, drivers and businesses are responsible for the accuracy of what they publish, including prices, photos, availability and contact numbers.

4. What you may not do

• Use KasiRooms for anything unlawful.
• Post fraudulent, misleading or scam listings, adverts or transport offers, or ask tenants for deposits for places that do not exist.
• Send spam, or harvest or scrape other people's contact details.
• Infringe anyone's intellectual property, including using photos you do not own.
• Interfere with the security of the service — no malware, probing, automated scraping or attempts to get around technical limits.
• Discriminate unlawfully against tenants, landlords, drivers or businesses.

5. KasiRooms is an introduction service

We introduce people to each other. We are not the landlord, the tenant, the transport driver or the advertised business, we are not a party to any rental or transport agreement, and we do not hold deposits or rent. Always view a place in person and satisfy yourself about the person you are dealing with before paying anyone anything.

6. Our intellectual property

Kasirooms owns the KasiRooms platform, software, design and branding. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. You may not reverse engineer it, resell it, or redistribute it. You keep ownership of the content you upload and grant us a limited licence to host and display it so we can run the service.

7. Service level

We work hard to keep KasiRooms available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent allowed by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Paid features and payments

Premium room boosts and business advert packages are once-off purchases that last 30 days. Prices are shown in South African Rand and include applicable taxes. Boosts and adverts do not renew automatically — you choose to buy again when the 30 days end.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our own refund period is set out in our Refund Policy.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, remove a listing or advert, or reject a driver verification if there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may close your account at any time. When access ends, your listings and adverts stop being shown.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill, or for the conduct of any landlord, tenant, driver or advertised business. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and disputes are subject to the South African courts. You may not transfer your rights without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger or sale of the business. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these terms and will change the date at the top of this page when we do.
